Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has addressed critics of his involvement in President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Speaking about his position, Wike made it clear that he has no regrets about being part of the current government and remains committed to his role.
During his remarks, Wike stated, “We are fully in government. We are fully in Tinubu’s government. I have no regrets about it, and I will continue to be there. Anybody who is angry should go and hug a transformer.” His blunt comment reflects his unwavering stance despite ongoing criticisms from some quarters.
Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister has been a topic of debate, with many speculating that his role was a reward for his support of Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, particularly in Rivers State. The discussions have centered around the perception that Wike’s influence played a significant role in securing votes for Tinubu in the region.
