Arsenal secured their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, sealing a dominant 9-3 aggregate victory.
Having dismantled PSV 7-1 in the first leg, the Gunners entered the return fixture at the Emirates with little pressure. Oleksandr Zinchenko opened the scoring early, finishing a fine move orchestrated by Raheem Sterling. However, PSV responded in the 18th minute when Ivan Perisic smashed a powerful strike past David Raya.
Declan Rice restored Arsenal’s lead before halftime with a well-placed header, connecting with Sterling’s cross. PSV, determined to regain some pride, equalized through Couhaib Driouech in the 70th minute.
Despite late pressure from the visitors, the match ended level, confirming Arsenal’s progression. The North London side now awaits either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid in the next round as they continue their pursuit of a first-ever Champions League title.
