Arsenal Eyes Ademola Lookman in Bold Bid to Overthrow Manchester City

Arsenal is reportedly gearing up to make a surprising move for Ademola Lookman, the 26-year-old Nigerian forward currently playing for Atalanta. With the transfer window nearing its end, the Gunners are said to be preparing an offer that could shake up the Premier League landscape.

Lookman, who has been a key player for Atalanta, is drawing significant interest after a standout season. He ended the 2023-24 campaign with an impressive tally of 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions. His performances have made him a sought-after asset, and now Arsenal seems determined to secure his services.

The Gunners are reportedly ready to offer £42.5 million plus additional add-ons for Lookman. In a bid to make the deal more appealing, they are also considering including defender Jakob Kiwior as part of the package. However, Atalanta is holding out for a higher fee, reportedly demanding at least £51 million for Lookman, who is contracted with the Italian club until the summer of 2026.

Arsenal’s move comes amidst prior strong links between Lookman and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). However, according to transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, the North London club has now overtaken PSG in the race for the forward.

Adding to the intrigue, Lookman missed a training session with Atalanta, raising questions about his future at the club. His potential switch to the Premier League could be beneficial for all parties involved, offering Lookman a new challenge and Arsenal a significant boost in their quest to topple Manchester City’s dominance.
