Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been at the center of football discussions this week following his failed transfer from Napoli, with Chelsea and Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli showing strong interest in the 25-year-old Nigerian star.
Despite extensive negotiations, Osimhen and Chelsea could not agree on terms, primarily due to a disagreement over the striker’s wage demands.
As a result, Chelsea pulled out of the deal, leaving Osimhen to continue with Napoli, at least until the January transfer window.
Osimhen’s failed transfer has sparked numerous reactions on social media, and among those adding their voice to the conversation is Asisat Oshoala, the Super Falcons forward and reigning African Women’s Player of the Year.
Oshoala took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to express her thoughts on the matter, seemingly taking a swipe at Chelsea’s handling of the negotiations.
In a now-deleted post, she wrote, “If you hear Wetin your club offer @victorosimhen9 even you sef go swear for them.”
