Atiku, Obi’s Coalition Meeting Turns Chaotic as Jigawa Delegates Storm Gathering in Abuja

Coalition meeting turned chaotic on Saturday when a gathering of top political figures including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi was abruptly disrupted by angry delegates from Jigawa State.

The meeting, hosted by the National Political Consultative Group (North), was held at the Abuja Continental Hotel and aimed to explore possible alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chaos erupted when Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, named a delegate to speak on behalf of Jigawa State. This announcement angered the state’s delegation, who claimed they were not consulted and saw the move as an attempt to sideline their voices.

The protesting Jigawa delegates stormed the meeting room, shouting and demanding fair representation. Their actions brought the event to a sudden halt, forcing security personnel to step in and restore order.
