Bauchi APC commends President Tinubu for Appointing Dogara as NCGC Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dass, Tafawa Balewa, and Bogoro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the establishment of the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) and the appointment of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

In a statement signed by Rabiu Garba on behalf of 27 party stakeholders, the APC described the appointment as a welcome development and a testament to Dogara’s enduring loyalty and invaluable contributions to the party and national development.

“The appointment of Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara to serve in this administration is not only timely, well deserved and meritorious but affirms our testimony that Rt. Hon Dogara has remained steadfast with his party APC, Stakeholders and his constituents and he is never let out in any contribution to promote the party and the Progressive Agenda,” the statement read in part.

The party also recalled Dogara’s sterling leadership as Speaker of the 8th House of Representatives, where he championed key legislative reforms and demonstrated a deep commitment to national development.

Under his stewardship, the House passed over 300 bills and more than 1,000 resolutions. Notable among these are the establishment of the North-East Development Commission (NEDC), the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB), and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Bill.

The APC leaders expressed confidence that Dogara’s experience, integrity, and legislative insight will greatly enhance the success of the NCGC, which is aimed at improving access to credit for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and fostering inclusive economic growth.

They concluded by reaffirming their unwavering support for President Tinubu’s administration and its commitment to competent, inclusive, and purposeful leadership across all sectors of the economy
