Bayero Pays Condolence Visit to Dantata Family

The dethroned Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has noted the passing of elder statesman and renowned businessman, Aminu Dantata, as a great loss to the nation and humanity at large.

Bayero made these remarks on Sunday after arriving in Kano from Madinah, Saudi Arabia, where he had traveled to attend and lead special funeral prayers for the late business icon. Upon his return, he paid a condolence visit to the Dantata family at their residence in Kano.

According to a statement issued by Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Bayero’s Chief Press Secretary, the former emir said the legacy of the late Dantata would continue to be remembered by future generations.

He described Dantata as a man who spent his entire life making a positive impact in multiple areas of Nigerian society.

“The entire world will remember the immense contributions of Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

He devoted his life to supporting humanity through faith, commerce, education, and philanthropy,” the statement read.

During his visit, Bayero led a special prayer asking for divine mercy upon the deceased and for strength and comfort for the Dantata family, the Kano people, and the entire country as they mourn the loss.

In a separate visit to Mariya Dantata, another family member, Bayero offered further prayers, asking for God’s forgiveness for the late patriarch and for him to be granted a place in aljannatul firdaus (paradise).
