Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant, Chinwe, has firmly denied allegations that she claimed to have sponsored her boyfriend, Zion, to join the reality show. This clarification came after a series of dramatic events unfolded in the Big Brother house.
Earlier in the week, tensions flared when Chinwe had a heated argument with fellow housemates Onyeka and Chizoba. Feeling unsupported by her boyfriend Zion during the conflict, she expressed her frustration during a conversation with DJ Flo.
In that discussion, Chinwe reportedly mentioned that she regretted coming to the show with Zion instead of her best friend.
She also allegedly stated that she was the one who sponsored their entry into the competition, a remark that quickly caught the attention of viewers and housemates alike.
The issue resurfaced during Sunday night’s live eviction show, when host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked Chinwe to clarify her statement. “Why did you say you sponsored Zion to the house?” Ebuka questioned.
In response, Chinwe denied making such a claim. She explained that her intention was not to suggest financial sponsorship but to highlight the emotional support she provided to Zion, who was initially hesitant about joining the show.
Chinwe clarified, saying she was merely the source of motivation that encouraged Zion to participate in the competition.
