Bishop David Oyedepo at 70: Pastors Adeboye, Ibiyeomie, Enenche, and Others Extend Heartfelt Wishes

Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel, turned 70 on September 27, 2024. As the world marked this milestone, tributes poured in from various quarters, especially from prominent Christian leaders who have been touched by his impactful ministry.

The day has become a momentous occasion as pastors, church members, and organizations celebrate his life and contributions to the Christian faith.

One of the most notable well-wishers was Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Along with his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, he took to his Facebook page to honor Bishop Oyedepo.

The message reflected the deep respect Pastor Adeboye has for Oyedepo, who he called “our dear son.” In his heartfelt post, Adeboye remarked: “Today, Mummy & I celebrate not just your life, but the incredible journey of faith, dedication, and service to God that you have walked.”

He praised Bishop Oyedepo’s unwavering faith, dedication, and commitment to expanding God’s kingdom, saying it has been a joy to watch his impact on countless lives. Pastor Adeboye concluded by praying for Oyedepo’s continued strength and peace as he enters this new phase of his life.

David Ibiyeomie, the presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, also sent his birthday greetings through social media. He expressed gratitude for Oyedepo’s mentorship and guidance, calling him “Dad” and appreciating the fatherly role Oyedepo has played in his life and ministry. In his words, Ibiyeomie said, “As you celebrate 70, I pray that you will celebrate greater years of impact and exploit. I love you Papey.”

Dr. Paul Enenche, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, also honored Oyedepo. They acknowledged his significant contributions, describing him as a “trailblazer” and a “history maker.” In their congratulatory message, they said, “Blessed be the womb that carried you and blessed be the day of your birth, Papa. You have not left your generation the way you met it.” The Enenches expressed their deep love and admiration, praying that Oyedepo finishes his race with strength, victory, and triumph.
