BREAKING: Iran Fires Missiles at US Military Bases in Iraq, Qatar

According to IRNA, Iran launched missiles at US military bases in Qatar and Iraq on Monday evening, in the state TV called a “powerful” response to recent American strikes on key nuclear sites.

According to Iranian state news agency IRNA, the missile operation was named “Blessing of Victory” and began late Monday night. The strike was said to target American military installations in Iraq and Qatar.

“The operation of Iranian missiles against American bases located in Qatar and in Iraq has begun, and is called ‘Blessing of Victory’,” IRNA reported.

Residents of Doha, the capital of Qatar, said they heard loud explosions echoing across the city shortly after the missiles were launched. Journalists from AFP confirmed hearing the blasts, adding that the noise was followed by the presence of emergency services near the outskirts of the Al Udeid Air Base.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense later confirmed that its military systems intercepted the missiles directed at Al Udeid Air Base.

“The Ministry of Defense announced that Qatari air defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting Al Udeid Air Base,” the ministry said. The statement also noted, “The incident did not result in any deaths or injuries”.

The missile strikes mark a serious rise in tensions between Tehran and Washington, especially after recent reports claimed that US strikes had damaged sensitive Iranian nuclear sites.

While Iran has not shared exact details of any casualties or damages, its state-run outlets described the missile launch as a direct warning to the United States.

Footage shared on local television showed night skies over Iraq and parts of Qatar lit up by what appeared to be missile trails. Emergency sirens were also reportedly heard near Baghdad’s Green Zone, although no official statement has been made about potential damage in that area.

There has been no official response yet from US military officials or the Pentagon. However, analysts are already calling the situation one of the most dangerous moments in the region in recent years.
