BREAKING: Makinde, Adeleke, Others in Lagos as South-West Governors Hold Crucial Meeting

Governors from the South-West region of Nigeria have gathered in Lagos for an important meeting to discuss pressing issues affecting their states. The meeting, which is being held at Lagos House in Ikeja, is hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who also serves as the chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum.

Among those in attendance are Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji. Also present are Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. The governors were welcomed into the executive chamber by Sanwo-Olu before the meeting commenced.

The gathering aims to address several critical issues affecting the region. In an earlier statement, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, noted that the agenda includes discussions on agriculture and food security. The focus is on finding ways to strengthen economic growth, encourage cooperation among states, and drive development in the region.

Another key issue on the table is security. With rising concerns over the safety of lives and property, the governors are expected to deliberate on measures to improve security in their respective states.
