BREAKING: Manchester United Sacks Erik ten Hag With Immediate Effect

Manchester United has dismissed head coach Erik ten Hag following a disappointing start to the current Premier League season. The announcement came Monday after United’s struggles on the pitch led to a series of underwhelming performances, with the team now placed 14th in the league table.

Ten Hag, who joined United in April 2022, departs after just over two years with the club. His tenure, which initially brought hope to fans, saw some successes, including a Carabao Cup victory in 2023 and an FA Cup win in 2024.

These achievements briefly rekindled the club’s aspirations of returning to the top of English football. However, a lackluster start to this season ultimately overshadowed his earlier accomplishments, leading the club’s board to make a managerial change.

Over the summer, the club’s new co-owners, INEOS, showed their support for Ten Hag by extending his contract until June 2026. This decision was meant to offer stability and continuity, allowing the Dutch coach to further implement his style and strategies with a stronger sense of job security.

Yet, despite this backing and the promise of a long-term vision, the team’s performance on the field continued to deteriorate. Key matches ended in disappointing losses, and United’s slide down the Premier League standings became difficult to ignore.
