Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his predecessor, Ifeanyi Okowa, along with several top political figures in the state, have officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This major political move was announced on Wednesday in Asaba, the state capital, by Senator James Manager following a lengthy closed-door meeting held at Government House. The meeting, which reportedly lasted over six hours, brought together major stakeholders in Delta State politics.
Speaking after the meeting, Senator Manager said, “All PDP members in the state, including the governor, former Governor Okowa, the Speaker, the state party chairman, all the local government chairmen and others, have agreed to move to the APC.”
