The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Chief Adolphus Wabara, the Chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT). The decision was made by the Abia State Working Committee (SWC) of the party.
Sources within the party revealed that the suspension was agreed upon during a meeting led by the State Chairman, Abraham Amah. While details surrounding the decision remain unclear, Amah confirmed the development when contacted.
“Yes, it is true, he has been suspended,” Amah told DAILY POST, adding that more information would be shared later.
This move is believed to be part of an ongoing power struggle between different factions within the PDP. The rivalry between supporters of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and former PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has been a source of tension within the party.
