President Bola Tinubu has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is open to receiving the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, if he chooses to join the ruling party.
Tinubu made the statement on Wednesday during the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) linking Ring Road One (Nnamdi Azikiwe Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Road), along with other completed roads in the Katampe District of Abuja.
While praising Wike’s work, Tinubu said the APC “will continue to be in a joyous mood” with his presence, while opposition parties would “writhe in pain.”
Wike, who is currently a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been the subject of defection rumours for months.
