Veteran Nollywood actor Columbus Irosanga, who was widely known for playing the role of a native doctor in many Nigerian movies, has passed away.
The news of his death was shared on Instagram on Thursday by his colleague, actress Hilda Dokubo. She expressed deep sorrow over his passing, mentioning how painful the loss is for the Nollywood community, especially in Rivers State.
Dokubo wrote, “There can’t be a shortage of angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport Rivers State Nollywood.”
Along with the announcement, she shared a heartfelt caption: “Our uncle Coli #colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the lord. Ikoli eh dein na mu.”
Fans and colleagues have begun paying tribute to the late actor, remembering his contributions to the Nigerian film industry. Many described him as a talented and dedicated actor who brought depth to his roles.
