The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 64th birthday. The congratulatory message was delivered on Sunday, September 22, 2024, by CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, who lauded Mrs. Tinubu’s leadership and dedication to the people of Nigeria.

Archbishop Okoh expressed warm wishes for the First Lady’s continued health, happiness, and success, acknowledging her commitment to important social causes that affect the lives of everyday Nigerians. He specifically noted her contributions to agriculture, women empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy, stating that her efforts in these areas have been significant and impactful.

In the statement, Okoh emphasized Mrs. Tinubu’s role as a strong advocate for the marginalized and her deep understanding of the challenges facing the nation. He highlighted how her work in key sectors reflects a genuine concern for improving the lives of Nigerians, especially those who are most vulnerable.

The message reads, “The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu. On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success in her role as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeria”.

“As First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy. Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation”.

“However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for basic necessities have significantly impacted countless families. As we celebrate the First Lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.

“We encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyze positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.”
