Court Grants Portable ₦1m Bail in Defamation Case Involving Saheed Osupa

Controversial singer, Okikiola Badmus, who is widely known by his stage name Portable, has been granted bail in the sum of ₦1 million by the Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State.

This decision came after he appeared in court to answer charges related to a legal complaint filed by Fuji artist Saheed Osupa.

According to court documents, Portable is facing serious allegations, which include criminal defamation, inciting public unrest, intimidation, and cyberstalking.

The court session took place on Monday, April 14, 2025, where the presiding judge ruled that the bail would only be granted if Portable could provide two sureties who must each guarantee the same ₦1 million sum.
