Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has confirmed that his much-anticipated white wedding with his fiancée Chioma will take place in August.
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the popular artist revealed the date for the highly awaited event. “I’m doing my white wedding in Miami in August,” he shared with excitement.
The singer reflected on the couple’s traditional wedding, which took place in Nigeria, describing it as a grand celebration. According to Davido, the event was nothing short of a ‘carnival’ as it brought the entire country to a halt.
He went on to explain the immense public attention surrounding their relationship. “The wedding I did was traditional, it was like a carnival in Nigeria, like a holiday. The whole world stood still. Me and my wife’s relationship was in the public eye, especially after I did that one song,” he said.
The couple’s journey has been closely followed by fans and the media alike, particularly after the release of Davido’s song which garnered significant attention. Not only has their relationship been in the spotlight, but the couple has also experienced deep personal struggles. “Even apart from losing our child, I messed up a lot of times so that full circle moment everyone was like finally she can get what she deserves,” Davido continued, acknowledging the challenges they have faced.
