Dembele Shines with Brace as PSG Cruise Past Rennes

Ousmane Dembele scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain secured a dominant 4-1 win over Rennes in Ligue 1 on Saturday, just days before their crucial Champions League second-leg clash against Liverpool.

PSG took the lead in the 27th minute when Bradley Barcola latched onto a quick free-kick to net his 18th goal of the season. Goncalo Ramos doubled the advantage five minutes into the second half, finishing off Barcola’s assist. Rennes responded through Lilian Brassier, who headed in from close range.

Luis Enrique made key substitutions, bringing on Dembele, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Achraf Hakimi. Dembele made an immediate impact, tapping in Hakimi’s pass in stoppage time before sealing the win with a powerful shot from the edge of the area.

The victory keeps PSG unbeaten in domestic competitions and extends their lead at the top to 16 points. Now, their focus shifts to the Champions League showdown against Liverpool at Anfield.
