Don’t Expect Rift Between Me and My Principal – Edo Deputy Gov

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has assured the public that his working relationship with Governor Monday Okpebholo will remain harmonious and focused on serving the people of the state.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday, Idahosa emphasized that his role is to support the governor in delivering the benefits of good governance to the people of Edo.

Idahosa described the governor as not just his superior but also his elder brother, highlighting a mutual understanding and shared commitment to prioritize the state’s development.

He clarified that his loyalty is to the people of Edo, saying, “Nobody should expect any misunderstanding between me and my principal because I’m here not to serve the personal interests of the good people of Edo North.”

Reflecting on his approach to leadership, Idahosa noted the importance of collaboration between the governor and deputy governor. He acknowledged past issues in the office but said he is focused on fostering a productive partnership.

“Leadership is the key when you have a good governor who sees his deputy as his younger brother so both of them can work together for the interest of the state,” he remarked.
