Economic Hardship: President Tinubu Meet with Governors

President Bola Tinubu has met with several governors at the Aso Villa in Abuja. This high-level gathering follows the abrupt cancellation of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting that was originally set for Thursday.

The governors arrived at the President’s office around 1:20 PM, traveling together in a Coaster bus. While the exact agenda of the meeting has not been officially disclosed, insiders suggest that it revolves around the severe economic hardship gripping the nation and potential strategies to mitigate these challenges.

The federal government is also under pressure to prevent a looming protest by youths frustrated with the soaring cost of living. This issue is expected to be a major topic of discussion during the meeting.

Among the governors present at the meeting are Hope Uzodinma, the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and Governor of Imo, along with governors from Kebbi, Kaduna, Benue, Jigawa, Ekiti, and Ondo. The deputy governor of Nasarawa is also in attendance, highlighting the significance of this gathering.
