The former chairman of Kagarko Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Hon. Nasara Rabo, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), ending his long-time association with the party.
Rabo, who held the chairman position for two consecutive terms, shared his decision in a resignation letter. The document, which was made public on Saturday, outlines that Rabo is leaving the party for personal reasons after consulting widely.
Rabo’s political journey began as a councillor representing Iddah Ward under the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). He later rose to prominence in the APC and played a major role in building the party’s presence in Southern Kaduna during its early days.
“I have taken this decision after wide consultations and based on personal reasons,” Rabo wrote in his letter.
While he has not yet confirmed whether he will be joining another political party, sources close to him note that the decision might be linked to ongoing political changes and struggles within the APC at both the state and local levels.
There have been signs of growing tension and divisions within the party in recent months, especially in Kaduna State.
