FG Approves Air Peace, Max Air, Two Other Airlines for 2025 Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced four airlines selected to transport Nigerian Muslim pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj. The announcement follows a rigorous screening process conducted by the commission.

Fatima Sanda Usara, the Assistant Director of Information and Publication at NAHCON, shared in a statement that the approved carriers are Air Peace Limited, Fly-Nas, Max Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited. These airlines were chosen from a total of 11 companies that submitted applications to handle the sacred pilgrimage.

According to Usara, the selection was carried out by a dedicated team of 32 experts inaugurated by NAHCON’s chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Sale Usman, on November 26, 2024. The panel scrutinized each airline’s capability, track record, and commitment to providing reliable services for the Hajj operations.

In addition to the passenger carriers, NAHCON also approved three companies to handle excess cargo for the pilgrimage. The selected cargo operators include Aglow Aviation Support Services Limited, Cargozeal Technology Limited, and Qualla Investment Limited. These firms will manage logistics for the pilgrims’ belongings, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the 2025 Hajj, Prof. Usman has signed the official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The agreement solidifies Nigeria’s arrangements with Saudi Arabia for the spiritual journey, covering areas such as visa processing, accommodation, and transportation for the pilgrims.
