“Frustrated Politician” – Bala Mohammed Slams Wike Over Threat to PDP Governors

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has responded strongly to a recent threat made by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, aimed at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors.

Wike had threatened to “put fire” in the states governed by PDP leaders due to their show of support for Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

In response, Governor Mohammed described Wike as a frustrated politician, assuring that his state is capable of dealing with any challenges.

Governor Mohammed made these remarks on Tuesday while welcoming members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) to Bauchi.

He emphasized that political disagreements should not be taken personally and dismissed Wike’s comments as the frustrations of a friend.

Mohammed explained that while party members may argue, such differences should not be interpreted as signs of division.

“When we argue, it’s never personal, and no one should misunderstand that. We are united; this is not a splinter group.

“As you can see, we are united in Bauchi. No one can set Bauchi on fire. Bauchi has enough water to put out any fire. My friend who made that comment is simply frustrated. Perhaps I said something that upset him, but it’s not personal.

“My friend remains my friend, my work is my work, and leadership remains leadership,” he said.

The governor also reiterated the need for party members to unite in order to prevent the collapse of the PDP, which he credited for being responsible for “most of the developments in the country”.
