Fubara Swears In 5 New Commissioners, 2 Special Advisers to Rivers Executive Council

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has sworn in five new commissioners and two special advisers to join his administration’s executive council. The ceremony, which took place in Port Harcourt, marks an important step in strengthening the state’s leadership team.

The new commissioners sworn into office are Mr. Ilamu Abua, Dr. Roland Obed-Whyte, Mr. Austin Nadozie, Mr. Samuel Eyiba, and Dr. Samuel Anya. Alongside them, Mr. Forgive Amachree and Mr. Achor Nna were brought in as special advisers. These individuals have been selected to support the governor’s vision for growth and development in the state.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Fubara emphasized the need for dedication and focus in the new roles. He highlighted the importance of these appointments in achieving the goals set by his administration.

“You are joining us to work towards meeting the expectations of Rivers people, irrespective of the distractions,” the governor told the new appointees. He urged them to use their positions as opportunities to serve the people of Rivers State rather than seeking personal economic benefits.

Governor Fubara stressed that the main aim of his administration is to implement projects that directly benefit the citizens. “Governance is about the provision of quality and people-oriented services. It is about improving people’s quality of life,” he said.
