Gbajabiamila Missing as Presidency Releases Names of Tinubu’s Appointments to Date [Full List]

The Presidency, through Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, has provided a full list of President Bola Tinubu’s appointments so far. This release follows public discussions and accusations of imbalance in how appointments are being distributed among Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.

According to the breakdown provided, the South West region tops the list with 29 appointees. Interestingly, the list did not include Femi Gbajabiamila, who was among the President’s earliest appointees, having been named Chief of Staff on June 2, 2023. The omission has drawn attention, as his role is considered one of the most significant in the administration.

The list includes key ministers, special advisers, and heads of federal agencies, showing the regional representation in the President’s government. While the South West has the highest number, the South East lags behind with fewer names.

The Northern regions—North Central, North East, and North West—feature prominently in key positions like defence, intelligence, and energy. However, many are raising questions about the fairness of the spread.

Here is the list of Tinubu’s appointments:
