Gunmen Raid Zamfara Village, Abduct Over 50 Women and Girls

On Sunday, December 9, suspected bandits carried out a devastating attack on Kakin Dawa, a village in Gidan Goga district of Maradun Local Government Area, Zamfara State. The attackers abducted more than 50 women and girls, leaving the community in shock and fear.

Witnesses reported that the gunmen arrived around 1:30 a.m., heavily armed and organized. They moved from house to house, forcing residents to flee in panic.

A local resident shared details of the harrowing ordeal with DAILYPOST saying, “Everyone started running because the armed bandits have been targeting our village; later we discovered that more than 50 of our women were abducted.”

Among the victims are young girls and married women, highlighting the scale of the tragedy. The affected families are now left in distress, grappling with the uncertainty of their loved ones’ fate.
