“He is Fulfilling Prophecy” – Pastor Adeboye Calls for TikToker SeaKing’s Release

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has spoken out regarding the re-arrest of popular TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as “SeaKing.”

The social media influencer was taken into custody again on Thursday at a Lagos State court and later transferred to Abuja over allegations of cyberbullying.

During a church program on Friday, February 7, Pastor Adeboye addressed the situation, making it clear that he had no role in SeaKing’s arrest. He stated that certain individuals, upset over the TikToker’s comments, acted on their own without his instruction.

“I heard that someone lambasted me thoroughly. What is my offence? Because I asked my people to fast for 100 days? I didn’t ask him. I didn’t even ask anyone who isn’t a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to fast—only my children! God said it would happen,” Adeboye said.

He went on to urge the Nigerian police to release SeaKing, stating, “I was told that some people got angry and went to arrest the fellow. Release him. He is fulfilling prophecy.”

SeaKing was initially arrested over allegations of cyberbullying and later re-arrested under similar accusations. His legal team, including human rights activists Omoyele Sowore, Adeyanju Deji, and Marshal D. F. Abubakar, visited the Federal Investigation Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force to discuss his case.

Sowore, in a statement on X, expressed his concern over the actions of the police, calling them “disheartening, disgusting, and frightening.” He criticized what he sees as a decline in law enforcement practices and raised questions about freedom of speech in Nigeria.
