I Was Supposed to Travel With Alasari the Day He Died in an Accident – Owolabi Ajasa

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Owolabi Ajasa, has revealed that he was meant to travel with his late boss, Ishola Durojaiye, popularly known as Alasari, on the day the actor tragically lost his life in an accident.

Ajasa made this revelation during an interview with FeelRightNews TV, where he recounted the circumstances surrounding Alasari’s untimely death.

According to Ajasa, Alasari had planned a trip from Abeokuta to Lagos on that fateful Sunday morning. The purpose of the journey was to submit the master copy of a new movie to a marketer and also handle some promotional activities.

Unfortunately, he never made it to his destination, as he was involved in a fatal accident along the way.

Ajasa disclosed that he was usually by Alasari’s side for almost all of his travels, accompanying him on about 95% of his journeys. However, on the day of the tragic accident, fate had other plans.

He had some personal engagements at home that required his attention, leading him to stay back. Alasari himself had even encouraged him to remain behind, assuring him that he would have something important to do upon his return.

The news of the accident came as a shock to Ajasa, who only found out about it when he received a call. By the time he arrived at the hospital, Alasari had already passed away.

Reflecting on the incident, Ajasa expressed his belief that divine intervention played a role in his decision to stay back that day. He noted that sometimes, events unfold in ways beyond human understanding, and in this case, it seemed as though he was meant to avoid the journey for reasons only God knew.

In his words: “I was at home when the incident happened that day. I can say that whenever he traveled, I would journey with him 95% of the time. But on that fateful day, I had something to do at home, which is why I stayed back. God has a way of planning things. That day, I had work to do with some people at home, and that’s what I was preparing for. He even told me to stay back and said that when he returned, I would help him with some jobs. It was later I received a call that he had an accident.”
