In a recent interview reported by Tuttosport, the talented Nigerian forward opened up about his current transfer situation, his move to Galatasaray, and his adaptation to Turkish football.

Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray from Napoli towards the end of the transfer window, expressed strong confidence in his abilities and justified the high price tag associated with him. Speaking about his worth in the football market, the 25-year-old was clear: “In my opinion, I’m worth more than 100 million because there are few players who have characteristics and success like mine in modern football.”

While the football world may debate Osimhen’s valuation, the striker made it clear that he understands people may have different opinions. Despite any potential disagreement, Osimhen remains self-assured and aware of his unique qualities as a player.

Osimhen also touched on his new experience in Turkish football and life in Istanbul. Describing the city with enthusiasm, he remarked, “Istanbul is a crazy city with incredible fans. I’m very happy.” His move to the Turkish capital seems to have gone smoothly, with the player enjoying the passionate football culture and support from Galatasaray’s fans.

Additionally, Osimhen spoke highly of his new teammates, particularly highlighting his relationship with Dries Mertens. Osimhen and Mertens had played together at Napoli, and their strong bond continues in Turkey. “I’ve spent a lot of time with Mertens, he’s incredible. He always manages to motivate me, and both he and his family are very important to me,” Osimhen shared.

When asked about Mauro Icardi, his fellow striker at Galatasaray, Osimhen expressed respect and admiration for the Argentine forward. “I’ve known Icardi for a long time, and here he’s a legend. He will help us a lot with his goals and assists,” he added.
