Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has fired at those calling for his removal from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that no one has the authority to expel him from the political group he has supported and worked for over the years.
During a press briefing held in Abuja on Monday, Wike made it clear that he remains a member of the PDP and has no intentions of leaving the party despite the growing calls for his expulsion.
“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party,” Wike said.
The former Governor of Rivers State stated that his contributions to the PDP are unmatched and questioned the credentials of those demanding that he be sacked.
“I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than me?” he added.
