The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has officially commenced at multiple Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in Abuja and other states across Nigeria.
The nationwide exam, organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), is expected to run until May 5, accommodating more than two million candidates.
Actual statistics gathered from JAMB officials indicate that about 2,030,627 candidates are registered to sit for the examination across the country.
Among the candidates, 41,026 who applied for the examination, are below the age of 16.
On the first day of the exercise, many centres reported smooth operations, with minimal technical issues and efficient supervision.
