Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has dismissed all commissioners and special advisers, signaling a fresh start for his administration. The announcement was made during a valedictory session held at the Executive Council Chamber in Uyo on Friday.
Governor Eno explained that the decision was part of efforts to bring in new faces and professionals who can align with the state’s developmental vision. While acknowledging the contributions of his outgoing team, the governor emphasized the importance of transitioning to a new phase of governance.
“All of you have delivered, and that’s why the Arise Agenda has succeeded,” Governor Eno stated during the session. “But we must come to the end of a season, start another season, and keep moving.”
The outgoing cabinet members, some of whom had served for nearly a decade, were initially retained by Governor Eno to complete their tenure as a gesture of appreciation for their service under the previous administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
