Just In: APC Women Leader Admits Working with Bandits in Katsina

Aisha Abubakar, a prominent women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, has admitted to collaborating with armed bandits in multiple criminal activities, including kidnappings and cattle rustling.

In a shocking confession, Abubakar revealed her role as an informant for the bandits, detailing how she provided critical information that facilitated several operations. Her admission came to light in a widely circulated interrogation video, where she disclosed her involvement in the kidnapping of Alhaji Sanusi, his two wives, and three children in the Matazu Local Government Area.

According to Abubakar, she received only N5,000 from a ransom of N9 million and a motorcycle, which was paid for the release of the abducted family members. She further mentioned that an additional N15,000 was promised to her after she returned from a wedding ceremony in Zaria. “I was approached by one Zainab, who is now at large, to provide information on Alhaji Sanusi and the APC chairman’s family to facilitate a successful kidnapping, and I did,” Abubakar confessed.

The APC women leader also admitted her involvement in a cattle rustling operation in the Tsaiyaya community. For this operation, she received N20,000. “Other key actors within the Tsaiyaya community included Yahaya, Audu na Bani, and the children of Bashar,” she revealed, indicating that several local individuals were complicit in these criminal activities.
