The Lagos State government shared the sad news of the passing of Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board.
Mr. Lekki, who served in this significant role, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, following a short illness. His untimely death was confirmed in an official statement released by the office of the Lagos State Head of Service.
“With the total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the Head of Service announces the sudden demise of Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board, which occurred in the early hours of today, 30th October, 2024, after a brief illness,” the statement read. The office further extended prayers for his soul, stating, “May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
As a key figure in Lagos State’s education sector, Mr. Lekki’s role at the Scholarship Board involved overseeing financial support and scholarship programs that helped students pursue their educational dreams.
