The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, along with six other appointees to critical cabinet roles. Ojukwu, known for her diplomatic experience, is expected to help strengthen Nigeria’s international relations.
The Senate also confirmed Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Development, where she will focus on boosting local industries and creating a business-friendly environment. Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda was appointed Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, aiming to address poverty and improve support for underserved communities.
Other confirmations include Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, who will address labor issues and reduce unemployment. Idi Muktar Maiha will serve as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing, and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education. Each appointee brings expertise in their field and is expected to contribute to national growth.
