JUST IN: Wanted Singer Portable Reports to Ogun Police HQ

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has arrived at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Abeokuta. He is there to answer questions regarding an alleged attack on officials of the Ogun State Town Planning Agency.

Portable had earlier been declared wanted by the police after he allegedly assaulted government officials who were carrying out an enforcement operation at his property in the Ilogbo area of Ogun State. The incident drew widespread attention, leading to the police taking action.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed Portable’s arrival at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, she noted, “The Ogun State Police Command wishes to inform the public that Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, at exactly 13:23 hours today, February 19, 2025.

“His presence at the SCID is connected to an ongoing investigation. The command assures the public that due process will be followed in handling this matter, and updates will be provided as necessary.”

Portable’s legal troubles have been a topic of discussion in recent times. Before this case, he had faced similar police invitations over different controversies, including altercations with law enforcement officers.

The latest incident began when officials from the Ogun State Town Planning Agency visited Portable’s property to enforce regulations. Reports indicate that a confrontation occurred, resulting in the alleged assault that led to the police declaring him wanted.
