JUST IN: Wike Suspends FCDA Secretary Indefinitely

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of the Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Shehu Hadi Ahmad.

The announcement was disclosed through an official statement released by Olalere Olayinka, Senior Special Adviser to the Minister on Public Communication and Social Media, on Thursday, November 15, 2024.

The suspension of Ahmad comes as an unexpected move, with the specific reasons behind this decision yet to be made public.

Currently, details on the circumstances or events that led to Ahmad’s suspension were not disclosed, leaving room for speculation within government circles and among the public.

In accordance with the directive issued in the statement, Ahmad is required to hand over his duties and responsibilities to the Director of Engineering Services at FCDA. This arrangement will ensure the continued management of the agency while the authorities address the issues concerning Ahmad’s suspension.
