Kaduna CP decorates 13 newly promoted officers

The Kaduna State Police Command Headquarters, Commissioner of Police, Audu Dabigi, officially decorated 13 senior officers recently promoted to higher ranks. The promotion, recommended by Inspector General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and approved by the Police Service Commission, marks a significant milestone in the careers of the officers, with the event taking place on Thursday in Kaduna.

Among the newly promoted officers is Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Danladi Ibrahim, who was elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). ACP Ibrahim, who has served as the Area Commander of Kafanchan for almost four years, is known for his contributions to maintaining peace and stability in the area, which has faced various security challenges over the years. His promotion comes as a recognition of his consistent service and dedication to the Kaduna State Police Command.

Additionally, two officers holding the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) were promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). One of the officers, Aminu Lawan, has previously served twice as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Kaduna Command. His leadership in public communications and community engagement has been instrumental in improving relations between the police and local residents.

Ten other officers were promoted from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), further strengthening the leadership structure within the command. The promotions are seen as part of a broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and encourage professional growth within the force.

During the ceremony, CP Audu Dabigi congratulated the promoted officers and encouraged them to maintain their dedication to duty. He stressed the importance of professionalism, integrity, and responsibility, urging the officers to uphold the rule of law in all their duties.

“I commend the newly promoted officers for their dedication to service. I urge you to continue performing your duties with professionalism, diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility. Let us carry out our roles with integrity, serving with the fear of God and in strict adherence to the rule of law,” said the Commissioner.

Dabigi also noted that the promotions reflect the Kaduna State Police Command’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence. He emphasized that the officers’ dedication to their duties played a key role in their promotion and urged all officers to continue working hard for the safety and security of the community.
