Kamala Harris Makes First Major Move After Biden Endorsed Her For U.S. President

Kamala Harris, the Vice President and Democratic presidential hopeful, has initiated her fundraising campaign following President Joe Biden’s endorsement.

Biden, who stepped out of the race on Sunday morning, endorsed Harris, paving the way for her bid to succeed him in the upcoming presidential elections.

In her campaign announcement, Harris expressed her gratitude for Biden’s support, describing him as “one of the finest public servants” and highlighting their shared accomplishments. She emphasized the strong partnership they have had during their tenure, stating, “It has been the honour of a lifetime to serve alongside Biden.”

Reflecting on their administration’s achievements, Harris said, “We built our country back after our predecessor left it in shambles — making historic progress in reducing prescription drug costs, upgrading our nation’s infrastructure, fighting climate change, and more. We are stronger today because we took action — together — to invest in America’s future.”

Harris urged Americans to contribute to her campaign, signaling the start of an intensive fundraising effort. She passionately articulated her vision for the future, noting, “I am excited to continue to work toward our vision for a better future for all. If that’s all you need to hear, then make your first donation to fund my campaign today.”
