Kane Leads Bayern Munich to Thrilling 3-2 Comeback Victory Against Wolfsburg in Kompany’s Bundesliga Debut

Bayern Munich secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Wolfsburg on Sunday, marking a successful Bundesliga debut for their new manager, Vincent Kompany. The win came courtesy of a strong performance from Harry Kane, who played a key role in Bayern’s comeback after initially falling behind.

The match started positively for Bayern, with Jamal Musiala opening the scoring in the 19th minute. Musiala, who has developed a knack for scoring against Wolfsburg, tapped in after a well-worked play involving French defender Sacha Boey. The goal marked Musiala’s sixth in eight matches against the Wolfsburg side.

However, the momentum shifted early in the second half when Wolfsburg responded quickly with two goals from Lovro Majer. Just after the break, Boey brought down Tiago Tomas in the box, leading to a penalty that Majer calmly converted. Minutes later, Majer found the net again after a mistake by Bayern’s Kim Min-jae, putting Wolfsburg 2-1 up.

Bayern appeared to be on the ropes, but Harry Kane helped pull them back into the game. In the 65th minute, Kane headed a deflected cross toward goal, leading to an own goal by Wolfsburg’s Jakub Kaminski, which leveled the score.

Kane continued to influence the game, assisting Serge Gnabry for the winning goal in the 82nd minute. His pass set up Gnabry, who finished from close range to secure the victory for Bayern.

Wolfsburg, who won the Bundesliga in 2009, have now gone 21 matches without a win against Bayern, with their last victory dating back to 2015.

Despite the pressure, Vincent Kompany’s Bayern side showed resilience and determination to come from behind, giving the new manager a winning start in the Bundesliga.
