Labour Party Senator May Join APC Soon, Says Edo Governor’s Aide

The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Political Mobilisation and Engagement, Eugene Utubor, has revealed that Labour Party (LP) Senator Neda Imasuen may soon switch allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on Wednesday in Benin City, Utubor said the senator appears ready to dump his current party due to ongoing internal struggles within the LP.

Utubor noted that he held a private meeting with Senator Imasuen on Tuesday night and shared that the senator seemed receptive to the idea of joining the ruling APC. According to him, consultations are already in progress to finalize the defection, which could strengthen APC’s influence both in Edo State and nationally.

“I can tell you that Senator Neda Imasuen will join the All Progressives Congress in the coming days. I was with him on Tuesday, and his body language speaks volumes,” Utubor said.
