LAGOS: Ndigbo Are Not Cowards, Any Attack On Us Will Be Met With Unimaginable Retaliation – Ohanaeze Youths

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has issued a stern warning against any potential attacks on the Igbo community in Lagos State and other parts of the South-West region. This announcement follows a provocative post on social media by an X user named Lagospedia, who had called for the forced relocation of Igbo people from the area.

Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the National President of the Council, criticized the post as unpatriotic and threatening. He emphasized that the Igbo community would respond harshly to any form of aggression. The statement, titled “Enough is Enough,” asserts that the Igbo people will not tolerate attempts to incite violence or undermine their presence in Nigeria.

Nnabuike underscored that the Igbo people are not afraid and should not be seen as cowards despite their past restraint. He called for an end to the spreading of divisive rhetoric, asserting that the Igbo are an essential part of Nigeria and deserve equal respect and protection.

“We want to unequivocally declare today that Ndigbo are not cowards; our forefathers were not cowards; they were brave, and so are we. We warn those fanning the embers of discord not to mistake the calmness of the lion for weakness; we are not afraid and should not be pushed to the wall by faceless miscreants. Any attack on Ndigbo by anybody will be met with unimaginable retaliation. We are not second-class citizens of this country. No one is more Nigerian than the Igbos,” the statement concluded.
