Liverpool Close to Premier League Title After Arsenal Held by Crystal Palace to 2-2 Draw

Liverpool are on the verge of securing the Premier League title after Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

The result leaves Arsenal with little hope of catching up to the leaders, as Liverpool are now 12 points clear with just five matches left.

Arsenal had hoped to keep the race alive but were denied by a late equaliser from Jean-Philippe Mateta, who came off the bench to score a stunning goal in the 83rd minute.

Despite early goals from Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard, Arsenal couldn’t hold on to their lead, with Palace’s Eberechi Eze pulling them level before halftime.

With Arsenal’s third draw in four league games, Liverpool need just a point against Tottenham on Sunday to clinch their 20th league title, matching Manchester United’s record.

The Gunners, who have four games remaining, now have a significantly worse goal difference, leaving them with little chance to overtake the Reds.
