The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday, carried out a cabinet reshuffle.
This was confirmed in an official letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi and shared by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
As part of the new assignments, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Seun Ashamu, has been reassigned to lead the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who had been overseeing the Environment and Natural Resources ministry, will now take over the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure, and Transport.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Dahud Shangodoyin, who has moved from the Public Works portfolio to head the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In another switch, Solihu Adelabu, previously in charge of the Education, Science, and Technology ministry, has been redeployed to manage the Ministry of Establishments and Training.
Completing the cycle of changes is Segun Olayiwola, who has been reassigned from the Ministry of Establishments to now take over the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
Governor Makinde noted that the changes are intended to further strengthen governance and ensure better performance across all departments. He called on the affected officials to remain dedicated and serve the state with full commitment and integrity.
“These movements take effect immediately,” the governor noted, while urging the commissioners to carry out their new responsibilities with focus and loyalty.
