MTN Apologizes for Network Outage, Says Services Now Restored

MTN Nigeria has issued an apology to its customers after a network outage disrupted internet services in parts of Lagos State. The company assured subscribers that the issue has been resolved and that normal services have resumed.

In a message sent to affected users on Saturday, MTN acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruption. The message read:

“Dear customer, we sincerely apologise for the challenges experienced with internet services yesterday in parts of Lagos State. This has been resolved, and services are fully restored. Thank you for your understanding.”

Subscribers had reported widespread difficulties with the network, with many unable to make calls, send messages, or access the internet from Friday through Saturday. The outage led to frustration among users, many of whom took to social media to voice their concerns.

The disruption also had a serious impact on financial transactions. With a growing number of Nigerians relying on mobile networks for banking and payments, the outage affected online transactions, leaving many unable to complete purchases or access banking services.
