Popular gospel singer Paul Nwokocha has publicly addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his troubled marriage. In a video posted on his official YouTube channel, Nwokocha confirmed that he had ended his marriage, citing serious allegations against his wife.
The singer made it clear that he had no regrets about his decision, stating that his wife engaged in “abominable acts” that left him with no choice but to walk away.
“If I marry today and find out that the wife I married is doing an abominable thing before God and before man, I will send you out of my house,” he said in the video, which has since gone viral.
Nwokocha further claimed that his wife had been sending nude photos and videos to other men. He questioned critics who disapproved of his actions, asking how they would react if they were in his position.
“I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe nobody an apology for this,” he stated.
His revelations have sparked widespread debate on social media, with some people supporting his stance, while others argue that private matters should not be shared publicly.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that this is not the first time Nwokocha’s marriage has ended in controversy.
On Monday, ABNTV reported that he has now separated from his second wife, Goodness Nwokocha, after just two years of marriage. The bride’s family has reportedly returned the bride price, signaling the official end of their union.
Nwokocha married Goodness in September 2023, only a month after divorcing his first wife, Alice Nwokocha. His first marriage reportedly ended due to what he described as “maltreatment,” including claims that Alice refused to serve him food.
A source close to the family, who spoke anonymously, disclosed that Goodness faced many challenges in her marriage. She was allegedly treated more like a housemaid than a wife. The source also revealed that Goodness had no prior romantic relationship with Nwokocha before their marriage. She had relocated from Lagos to be with him at the insistence of his uncles, without conducting any background checks.
By May 2024, tensions had escalated between them, and after the return of the bride price, their marriage officially came to an end.
