The Naira has appreciated slightly in the parallel market, moving from N1,665 per dollar on Thursday to N1,660 per dollar.
This minor gain comes as the currency also saw improvements in the official foreign exchange market, where it climbed to N1,531 per dollar from the previous rate of N1,548 per dollar.
Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) reveals that the appreciation in the official market reflects a N17 increase in value for the Naira within a short period.
Despite this progress, the margin between the parallel market rate and the official exchange rate widened to N129 per dollar, compared to N117 per dollar recorded on Thursday.
