Ndume Applauds Tinubu’s Leadership, Hails Bwala’s Appointment

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, the former Senate Majority Leader representing Borno South, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Daniel Bwala as the Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media.

Ndume described this move as a testament to President Tinubu’s exceptional leadership qualities and commitment to inclusivity.

In a statement released in Abuja, Ndume praised the President for what he called a thoughtful and magnanimous decision.

He said, “I wish to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media. This gesture deserves serious applause, especially considering the roles Bwala has played in the recent past.”

Bwala, who hails from Ndume’s constituency in Borno South, previously served as the spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential elections. During that period, Bwala was vocal in his criticisms of Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Despite this, President Tinubu’s decision to appoint him has been described by Ndume as a reflection of “a rare demonstration of large-heartedness in leadership, a quality that is difficult to find in many leaders today.”

Ndume encouraged Bwala to collaborate with other government officials, particularly Vice President Kashim Shettima. He also advised Bwala to adopt a professional and fact-based approach when defending the administration’s policies, drawing inspiration from loyalists like Sunday Dare, Hadiza Bala, and Nuhu Ribadu.

Finally, Ndume urged Bwala to prioritize grassroots engagement, emphasizing that “charity begins at home,” and wished him success in his new role.
